My Favorite Guard
A widescale attack on the mothership of the Gemini has forced Propus, a guard to the prince of the Gemini, to evacuate with the young prince Castor. Castor, however, is mad Propus left behind his favorite guard and has locked him in the maintenance room of the escape pod with no way to get out.

A short visual novel made in only a week for the Only One of Any Asset (O2A2) Jam in 2022, where the rules limit you to only have one bg, one sprite, one music track, 1k words, etc. There is only one ending.

If this is a prologue for something bigger of this VNs, I'm all for it. Even within a short period, I care for these trios thanks to the plot settings and seeing how much they care for each other. Hopefully, they'll all get reunited.
Lastly, I gonna say that soundtrack sorta remains me of Halo, intentional or not.
The pixel art is very charming and in a style that is not often seen in VNs. The story is tense too and pulls your attention immediately in wanting to know if Propus and Castor will make it out alive (sorry Fomal... I think you're totally dead though).

So many emotions and much lore already...I love it! I also absolutely love the use of the background space. I can't get over it. Amazing job!
I'm not entirely sure how to feel about the narrative, but I can appreciate the strength needed to have faith in an uncertain situation.
I'd like to believe that the trio eventually do find a way to reunite at that outpost, because it is within the realm of possibility.
This game was very nice and short. I hope Castor's guard did make it in the end.
